(COLCHESTER, ON) – North 42 Degrees Estate Winery has announced that the Town of Essex has approved the site plan for a $1 million expansion. The project is planned to begin this spring with an estimated completion by the fall of this year.

The two-story, 4,500 square foot building, designed by ADA Architecture, overlooks the vineyard and nearby Lake Erie. It includes an expanded tasting and retail area as well as a restaurant, the Bistro 42, which will contain an indoor seating capacity for 60 people and a state of the art commercial kitchen.

The kitchen facilities will allow the North 42 proprietors, Martin Gorski and Suzanne Dajczak, to host corporate events, special occasion receptions, and private parties.

The expansion project will also permit the growth of, sister company, Serenity Lavender’s culinary product line.

Gorski and Dajczak have witnessed an increase in awareness of Lake Erie North Shore wines visitors regularly travelling to the region from Toronto and other parts of Ontario, Michigan, and Ohio. Sales in both companies have steadily increased since opening and the owners feel the time is perfect to expand and provide customers an enhanced, full-service experience.
