(WINDSOR, ON) – Artcite, Windsor’s only artist-run centre for the contemporary arts, is presenting Dar’a/Full Circle, in co-operation with the Windsor Public Library, and curated by Jamelie Hassan. The exhibition runs until March 10.

Dar’a/Full Circle is a group exhibition featuring 14 artists from Canada and abroad, working in various artistic mediums. The artists address the circle as a motif in their work.

“The circle, dar’a in Arabic, spins across many domains and cultures and is an aspect that is present in many of my own art works,” said exhibition curator Hassan. “Because of this and other ways artists are working with the circle, I decided it would make a compelling group exhibition that reminds us of the pervasiveness of the circle found all around us and the circle that we create as community.”

The exhibition features artists from across Ontario and the United States, including Windsor’s Jennifer Willet.

Artcite Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 12noon to 5:00pm. The Central Branch of Windsor Public Library is open Monday to Thursday from 9;00am to 9:00pm, Saturday between 9:00am and 5:00pm, and Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

There will be a closing reception for the exhibition on March 10 at Artcite starting at 7:00pm.
