(WINDSOR, ON) – After a well received show at the Folk Music Ontario conference in Ottawa last weekend, the Prairie Songstress, Raine Hamilton, will be arriving in Windsor November 3 for a show at the Atelier Virginianne, at 1078 Drouillard Road.
“She literally blew me away [in Ottawa] and she is coming into Windsor on tour,” said Michelle Fortier. Her past performances have included the Governor General and festivals from British Columbia to Nova Scotia.
Each of Raine’s songs is presented with humor and grace. Armed with a violin and a guitar, Raine will be joined on stage by cello and double-bass to provide a strings arrangement to accompany Hamilton’s distinct vocals.
Hamilton is presented at Atelier Virginianne by On Roots, a folk/roots concert series which showcases touring musicians and bands in an intimate, gallery setting. Doors open November 3 at 6:30pm. Tickets are just $20 at the door.
