(WINDSOR, ON) – The Arts Council of Windsor Region and the Walkerville Artist’s Co-op, a non-profit, artist-run gallery, are teaming up to present the first annual Artists Incognito on December 9, from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.

Artists Incognito refers to the original works of art available for this fundraiser, created by local artists, and which will be signed on the back so that the artists will not be known until their artwork has been purchased. Some of the participants are fine craft artists offering jewellery, glass art, ceramics, and handmade soaps, as well as original paintings and prints.

Attendees will get to pick the work of art that they love and will have the opportunity to meet the artist who has created their piece of art.

Artists involved range from emerging artists to some of the best known collectable artists in the Windsor region. It is expected that as many as 150 works of art will be available at the closing reception.

Vouchers will be sold for $70 which entitle the purchaser to an original work of art, food sampling from local restaurants, wine from local vineyards, locally brewed beer, and live music, as well as the opportunity to meet local artists and art collectors.

The works of art can be previewed as they are completed by visiting online and at the Artists Incognito Facebook page. They will also be on display for previewing at the Walkerville Artists Co-op from November 25 until December 9 and at the ArtSpeak Gallery from December 6 to December 9.

Vouchers are available on-line and it’s strongly encourage to pre-purchase as only a vouchers are limited and will be only as many as available art works.
